Hi Bozeman City Commission,
I'm writing to you today to voice my support for the nomination of Chris Coburn for city
commissioner. My name is Sydnee McKee and I'm a medical student here attending the UWWWAMI program and I've had the pleasure of having Chris lead some of my classes and a
group I'm involved with also worked with him to get medical students involved in working onthe Health Connections bus to provide low cost healthcare to people around the area.
I want to voice my support for Chris because he is a genuinely nice person who cares about
Bozeman. He is also a public health expert and therefore is well qualified to help us navigatethe complexities of covid-19. The pandemic isn't over and very likely will get worse in the
coming months. He can help is through it. In addition, Bozeman has never had a black citycommissioner and representation matters! He is also able to speak to many other aspects that
are affecting people in Bozeman including being queer, renting a house (because housingprices are unaffordable for so many people in this city!), struggling with student loans, and
being raised by a single mother. All of those aspects of him are important and will help himmeet the needs of so many different people in Bozeman.
He's already involved in so many different community events, organizations, and non-profits
proving that he CARES about this city and is really listening to our community and trying tomake a difference.
Please consider him for city commissioner I think the would be a great addition for our
community.
