I'm writing in support of Mark Egge for the city commissioner vacancy.
I have know Mark since 2008 when we served in the Montana Conservation Corps together as AmeriCorps
volunteers. Since then his passion for service has never ceased. Mark's commitment to service and
community is unmatched and has been an inspiration to many of his friends. He's helped encourage people
that care about this community to get involved and have a voice; a worthy characteristic of a city leader.
That commitment coupled with his intelligence and empathy make him the best candidate for the job and
the right kind of person to help lead Bozeman forward. His track record as a young professional balancing
work with community engagement with the city is admirable. I believe he deserves a chance to serve
Bozeman at a higher level.
One of the most telling facts about Mark is his commitment to doing what is truly best for Bozeman. He has
stated in his application letter that he would support another candidate if that person were a better fit for
the job than himself. I don't believe you will find that level of selflessness and grace in any other candidate.
Mark will put the best interests of others and the city first which is why I believe he is the best choice for
this vacancy.
