Dear Commission:
Wow, I do not envy the decision before you. There seem to be many motivated and qualified applicants. I
humbly suggest prioritizing two evaluation criteria over all others: (1) appoint someone who is deeply
rooted in Bozeman with strong community connections; and (2) appoint someone who represents
something very different from the current commission (whether that be race, gender, sexuality, age,
economic background).
