I would like to comment regarding the parking garage fees, specifically the fee for the entire day. Currently
the fee for the day is $5.00. This is a reasonable amount, however the day starts 6am and runs until 6 pm.
Anyone who enters the garage at noon and pays the $5.00 will get a $20 ticket after 6pm. This is unfair to
the employees who work downtown and are employed in a business that is open after 6pm. Any employee
who works from 6 until 6 is allowed to park 12 hours. Anyone who works outside the hours set by the City
of Bozeman is penalized for working later in the day. These fee structure needs to be changed to 12 hours,
based on your in and out time, not a set window of time.
It is challenging for any employee working downtown to park. Please help all employees and allow them to
park without being penalized.
