If you build it, they will come. If you don't, they won't. The projected growth rate is
unsustainable. Density is preferred over sprawling into the small amount of remaining openspaces, but only a short drive around Bozeman is enough to witness the already frayed nerves
of drivers, increasing chances of car accidents, and accidents with pedestrians and bicycles.Downtown, already suffering from online sales, continual "rallies," and coronavirus, will
suffer more as people realize it isn't worth the struggle of getting there.
I live right downtown, and even I avoid Main street and the mess of construction and carsdriving chaotically.
The city needs to slow its approvals way down. We need to evaluate water supply for the
growing population, fertile land resources, wetlands, infrastructure needs, railroad overpasses,etc.
Taxes for those who have lived here for many years continue to skyrocket to support this
growth. It is all too much, too quickly.
If we don't build it, they won't come. We should be thoughtful and reasonable, and not bow tothe pressure of greedy developers.
