Allowing Volunteers to Return to City Facilities with City Manager Approval
(Effective September 22,2020)
PURPOSE
The purpose of this Administrative Order is to amend Section 11 of Administrative Order 2020-
05. All other provisions of Administrative Order 2020-05 remain in effect.
The City continues to work closely with the Gallatin City-County Health Department (GCCHD)
and other partners to ensure a coordinated response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), consistent
with the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the
Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS).
With the ongoing occurrence of COVID-19 cases in Montana and in Gallatin County, the City
continues to focus on measures to protect the health of its employees, officials, and all members
of the Bozeman community. The City relies on volunteers to provide important services. At this
time,I feel volunteers can allowed to return to city facilities if a department director creates a plan
for ensuring volunteers comply with existing City protocols on Covid-19. I must approve the use
of all volunteers.
I order that Section 11 of Administrative Order 2020-05 is superseded and replaced by the
following:
Volunteers. Prior to inviting or accepting volunteers in a city facility, the department director
must establish a written plan that will ensure volunteers comply with existing City protocols for
Covid-19. The written plan must be submitted to and approved by the City Manager prior to a
volunteer entering a city facility.
