To whom it concerns,Developing the Idaho Pole Site is an irresponsible idea. This site is adjacent to residential areas thatalready have overloaded infrastructure and roads. The small roads cannot handle the large amount oftraffic this project will create, during its building process and afterwards.
Additionally, the contamination of the site is in question and development could lead tocontamination of nearby waterways and soil. There is no need to create more traffic, businesses andresidences here. There are already new buildings (commercial and residential) on E. Cottonwood
that have been unoccupied for multiple years and more to be built soon in that same area. Let's waituntil these are used before we waste more time and resources on more, and create a continuedheadache of closed roads and construction delays that plague Bozeman every summer.
This is a wonderful place to live, but it is becoming depressing to have daily inconveniences createdby people trying to grow their bank accounts rather than doing what is actually good for the wholecommunity, and the real working-class people that make your coffee, teach your kids and keep us allsafe.
Please don't think only about the money, money, money and development (of second homes andexpensive rentals). Please consider the negative effect this will have on our full-time residentialneighborhoods, infrastructure and livelihoods (during and after construction). THANKS!
