COMMISSION MEETING
WORK SESSION AGENDA
September 27,2004
A. Call to Order ~ 8:00 p.m.
B. Public comment
Any individuals wishing to address the Commission on any of the items on the
work session agenda are asked to do so at this time
C. Work Session Items - These items are for discussion only. Any formal actions must be
placed on a future agenda.
1. Continued discussion ~ process for selection of Municipal Judge
Staff has prepared a draft screening tool and draft interview
questions for Commission consideration. Since applications are
due by 5:00 p.m. next Monday, finalizing of these documents is
needed at either this meeting or next week's meeting.
2. Discussion re possible amendments to the annexation policy
The current annexation policy has been in place since 1996, so it
is probably time to review it and determine if any changes are
needed.
3. Discussion re possible amendments to the unified development ordinance
Since the City is seeking input on possible amendments to the
unified development ordinance, this may be an opportune time to
identify amendments that could help to streamline the process,
decrease the time it takes an applicant to complete the process,
and, as a side benefit, reduce the number of public hearings before
the Commission. Specific items to be discussed might include re-
creation of the Board of Adjustment. These amendments could
either be processed prior to or in conjunction with the
comprehensive amendments.
