Strout - Request For Inclusion Agenda Item GFrom:Terry Cunningham To:Jeff Mihelich Cc:Greg Sullivan; Mike Maas Subject:Request For Inclusion Date:Tuesday, September 8, 2020 10:35:59 AM Mr. Mihelich: A citizen - Jan Strout - has forwarded an email to me that she would like to ensure is made part of therecord of tonight's special meeting. It is pasted below: ----- Forwarded Message ----- From: Jan Strout <janchangethatworks@yahoo.com> To: CAndrus@BOZEMAN.NET <CAndrus@BOZEMAN.NET> Sent: Wednesday, May 23, 2018, 10:41:53 AM MDT Subject: CONFIDENTIAL: Bozeman cities for CEDAW: request for meeting time Cyndy, Thank you so much for your prompt response and we are very much looking forward to meeting with you individually. I have found from previous experiences that it would be more helpful to have another Campaign co-leader such as BPW president Melissa Herron with me and we would welcome anyone else you would prefer, other than Deputy Mayor Mehl, at this initial meeting. And after that, we could certainly agree to include a few others. We respectfully request that we would like to meet with only you and if desired, another person of your choosing. If you would like more reasons, I would be happy to have a phone call with you because we already had a very unfortunate, difficult and unproductive meeting with Deputy Mayor Mehl and don't wish to be subjected again to his belittlement and bullying as we experienced earlier. For many of the women who have already survived psychological and/or physical abuse, this is anunacceptable experience to have to go through, particularly from a leader of our community. We hopeyou understand and are open to someone else you would like to have at our meeting. Thank you for understanding and let me know if you need additional information. Much appreciation, Jan Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android Terry Cunningham - City Commissioner City of Bozeman | 121 North Rouse Avenue | P.O.
