Noting the comments by the Planning Board Member, George Thompson as well as
the official declaration by the Mayor for ARbor Day....I've enclosed a link to apply for grantsto use toward planting more trees in the city.as well as more information about becoming a
"tree city.
The community I moved from has that designation and it was spearheaded by citizens.

Also, a local non-profit there, Living Lands and Waters focuses on river clean up but alsoestablished a large "nursery" for growing trees that are then given away to communities to
plant in riparian areas. This project is all driven by volunteers.
Here's a link to view their Million Trees Project. (I think they have already surpassed themillion tree mark and are working on their second million!!

Kudos to all of you for you efforts to do our part to make our community "greener".
Happy Trails

Regarding my email just prior to the Commission meeting mentioning Tree City designation
and funding for such...
It comes as no surprise to me that Bozeman is already a "Tree City" and has designated fundsto offset costs for tree planting to citizens.
My apologies for assuming the city wouldn't already be not only familiar with, but actually bea Tree City Designee!
Bozeman is "killing it" ....as my kids say.
