SUGGESTED MOTION: I move to appoint one member to the Board of Ethics with a term ending July 31, 2022 BACKGROUND: The Board of Ethics has one vacant position due to a term expiration as of July 31, 2020. One term renewal application and one new application have been received. Ordinance No. 1726, finally adopted in November 2007, established the creation of a three member Board of Ethics. In May of 2009, Ordinance no. 1759 was finally adopted which revised 1726. According to Ordinance 1759: A. There is created a Board of Ethics consisting of three (3) members who shall serve without compensation unless the governing body provides otherwise. Members of the Board of Ethics shall not be elected officials, full-time appointed officials whether exempt or nonexempt, or City employees, nor shall they be currently serving on any other City board or commission. B. Members of the Board shall be residents of the City. C. Board members shall be appointed by the governing body. An appointment to fill a vacancy shall be made by the appointing authority who appointed the member who formerly held the position which is vacant. E. Board members shall serve staggered terms of two (2) years. A member shall hold office until a member's successor is appointed. This board currently has one vacant position. I’m a vocalist & performed in Great Falls Symphony during 2018-2019 concert season; during Christmas concert someone stole 200.00 from backpack supposedly locked for safety I require everything I presently keep, and a certain level of creature comforts, sufficient monetary remuneration, from legitimate employ and family wheat farming to maintain a decent lifestyle, I don’t tolerate dishonesty nor false pretense and don’t keep relationships going with anyone who I determine is running a scam on me and/.or a loved one Thank you. p.s.
