Hi there!
I was very interested and pleased to hear that several crosswalks in town would be repainted showing our
town support for racial equity and inclusivity! Because we have decided to take this bold step to use these
previously under utilized spaces to promote a political/cultural message, I'd like you to pass me along to
whomever I should speak with in order to petition that we repaint several crosswalks blue to show our
community support for our wonderful law enforcement officers and several more crosswalks red to support
our brave firefighters. Now is a critical time to tell them that we stand with them and support them, much
the same way we stand with people of color and other minority groups in our community. I'm happy to
begin a petition to submit to the city and have no doubt the project would enjoy tremendous support. So
glad that we've opened up these spaces for community dialogue! I'll be sure to pass this request on to my
fellow citizens, media outlets and to other pertinent officials in the mean time and will begin the petition
immediately.
