Notice of Award and Purchase Agreement for 1 New Wheel Loader Commission Memorandum REPORT TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commission FROM: John Van Delinder, Streets Superintendent Mitch Reister, Director of Public Works Anna Rosenberry, Assistant City Manager SUBJECT: Notice of Award and Purchase Agreement for One (1) new Wheel Loader MEETING DATE: August 18, 2020 AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent RECOMMENDATION: Award bid and authorize City Manager to sign Purchase Agreement for a Wheel Loader to Caterpillar Tractor and Equipment for a total of $187,054.00 BACKGROUND: The approved FY20 Street Operation Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and the FY20 approved budget lists the purchase of a wheel loader. We received bids from two vendors and Caterpillar Tractor and Equipment was the lowest most responsible bid. The budgeted amount was one hundred eighty thousand dollars ($180,000). UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission FISCAL EFFECTS: This item is in the FY20 Streets Operations CIP and approved FY20 budget.
