I like and support parks, trees along the streets, trails and the like.
I question the tax funding for them. They should be funded on a person/head basis because their
use/enjoyment is on a person/use basis.
Instead you tax according to lot size, curb length. Why should a retired moderately/low paid professor pay
such taxes on home with a large lot which he saved for instead of buying untaxed miscellaneous consumer
goods like a trailer or an ATV. Why should he be heavily taxed for street-side trees which are never
expected in his subdivision?
