Subject:New anti-racism plan needs to be better and actually include BIPOC consultation/leadership

To whom it may concern,
I am disappointed that the proposed “anti-racism” plan to prevent police violence does not include any consultation
with a so glue BIPOC in the community. A plan to prevent police violence needs to be reviewed and revised by
people of color who experience this racism first-hand. In addition, any plan that reviews the use of police force
needs to be conducted by people who are outside of the police force, so as not to have a conflict of interest. It is
often difficult for leadership within the police force to see the issues that surround them.
Furthermore, “eight can’t wait” is an u acceptable model for reform that is just a waste of time in the efforts to
make our community safe for all who live here.
I hope you will take these comments into serious consideration.
Sincerely,
Leanora Skaggs
