A traffic impact study is not required for the proposed carwash (to be located at the former Johnny Carino’s site)
based on the information and estimates provided below. This email will serve as the waiver for the traffic study

It would be an automated car wash with a single wash bay (used to determine estimated trip generation) that has a
preliminarily proposed square footage of X. There is also a 900 square foot office for staff and the manager as well
as a detail building have a gross floor area of approximately
3,469 square feet consisting of three detail bays and one hand wash bay plus a waiting room, small office, and
storage. Scrubby’s on North 7th Avenue would be somewhat similar.

We are looking at a potential automated car wash facility on the lots west of the former Johnny Carino’s restaurant
(bounded to the south by Burke Street, west by Max Avenue, north by Catron Street, and northeast by East Valley
Center Road). Based on ITE’s Trip Generation Manual, 10th Edition the facility would have an estimated weekday,
PM peak hour trip generation of approximately 50 entering and exiting vehicles (25 enter and 25 exit) and a
Saturday peak hour estimate of 41 total vehicle trips (21 enter and 20 exit). Would the City of Bozeman require a
traffic impact study for the proposed development?
