Please help us. Hello Gentlemen. As I’m sure you know, there was an accident on Yellowstone Ave /Broadwater yesterday evening. We witnessed it,both vehicles going way over the speed limit. Please, the neighborhood has been asking for years: Put in 4 way stopsigns on our road. To much volume, too much speed. So many social posts on this topic as well, there’s a major need for it.Who has to get hurt for this to happen? Yesterday was a close call. The Bronco went through the yard and plowedin the house. I’ve personally sent so many emails trying to get some action to this problem. It’s a neighborhoodstreet right by an elementary school. Our biggest problem the last few weeks has been keeping peopleoff of the streets within the project. They see it paved and go around the barriers. It will be posted on our websiteon the street reports, added to the weekly radio segment, and I will have the neighborhood coordinator put it out on the next door as a notification. It wasn’t a problem last year during the winter shutdown and I don’t anticipate it to be this year. When we opened Cottonwood, all of the adjacent local street issues went away. As you know, having traffic filtered down Yellowstone during this long constructionperiod has been very frustrating and frankly dangerous. So many families, kids and pets on our street. Our ask isthat when Ferguson is opened for good, that you perhaps post signage on Yellowstone: “Construction complete, through traffic please use Ferguson.” Or “neighborhood street, please use Ferguson”. Or even shut downYellowstone for a week. Anything will help, as people have now been trained to use Yellowstone, and will continueto do so unless some action is taken. Anything you can do? The city’s help would be optimum, otherwise oursecondary plan is to ban together and post identical yard signs noting this. We’d rather see the city support us withthis. Let me know, Thank you.
