Site Visitor Name: lois boltonSite Visitor Email: lbandeggs@msn.com The city of Bozeman has purchased 10,000 face masks in effort to help local residents andbusinesses abide by Montana’s statewide mask mandate. The city will spend about $8,500 out of its general fund on the mask shipment, which isexpected to arrive next week. The disposal, one-time use face coverings cost about 50 centseach. The city plans to request federal reimbursement that was made available through theCoronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security for the masks, according to City ManagerJeff Mihelich. Excuse me, but do the math, if the masks cost .50 each,, why are we spending .85 each? Itdoesn't matter that the price might be reimbursed, WE the people are still paying for it . You'llhave to convince me that it costs an extra .35 to package or ship a flimsy mask. Next our landfill prices will go up because of all the waste of these useless pieces of paper going in thegarbage. And then our taxes will have to go up again to pay for the clean up of the streets and sidewalksbecause the public won't pick up after themselves.Where does it end? There are extensive studies showing masks do little in prevention of Covid. I look forward to your reply
