Respectfully asking our commission to require masks indoors in public spaces and outdoors where
distancing is not possible. School teachers and staff hope to return to school in the fall, but we can only do
so safely if our community helps contain this virus by wearing masks. It is cheap, easy, and only mildly
inconvenient to wear a mask — and asking our community to wear masks might help thousands of our
children resume in-person learning at school.
