RECOMMENDATION: Approve cancelling the regular City Commission meetings on August 10, 2020 and August 17, 2020
STRATEGIC PLAN: 1.1 Outreach: Continue to strengthen and innovate in how we
deliver information to the community and our partners.
BACKGROUND: Due to an administrative error regarding final adoption of Ordinance 2053, we recommend the Commission formally cancel the August 10th and August 17th Commission meetings. The City Manager, pursuant to his authority to call special meetings, will call special meetings of the Commission on Tuesday, August 11th, and Tuesday
August 18th. We suggest this process to ensure the start date for Tuesday meetings does not change. Also, city staff have noticed public hearings for the August 11th and August 18th meeting dates. The City Attorney concurs with this approach.
