Dear Bozeman County Commission,
As a citizen of our amazing town, I am writing to ask you to please, please consider makingmask-wearing mandatory in Bozeman.
I love our town and know that feeling is shared, considering that Bozeman is on many a top-
ten list of Summer 2020 travel lists during the time of COVID.
Sadly, it's really clear that voluntary mask-wearing is not prevalent. It hard enough for adultsto stick to voluntary proactive measures, let alone younger kids and teens! My teenage
daughters are wracked with anxiety about the lack of mandatory safety measures, and alsoreally afraid that the exponential growth in cases will inhibit their ability to go back to school
in the fall, which they are longing to do.
While mask-wearing is just one protective measure, it seems like a very simple one that by allaccounts, reduces transmission, and hopefully allows our businesses to stay open so that we
can preserve any economic gains while not putting our citizens and guests at risk.
I hope you'll consider making masks mandatory to protect our community's health, economy,and the potential of our kids getting to go back to school in the fall.
