Site Visitor Name: Megan ZilzSite Visitor Email: meganzilz@icloud.com Dear Mayor,Sincere thanks for your efforts to make the lives of Bozemanites better. A couple of comments re COVID-19:- it is distressing to see the number of tourists (and public) in Bozeman not wearing masks. If there is to be noquarantine for visitors, please consider lending your influence to make wearing a mask in public mandatory.- Waded Cruzado is determined to bring in almost 20,000 undergrads to MSU in August. This is insanity andcompletely negligent from a public safety perspective. I guess her second golden parachute depends on it... We livenear the college and are already seeing a total lack of responsible behavior from college kids (no masks, parties, beerpong games where they’re all drinking from the same cups etc etc). At the best of times, they barely obey road rules, let alone respecting an “honor code” and wearing a mask. (and, yes, I was probably once that kid!).As a young cancer survivor, I am going to be under virtual house arrest potentially for years, if thepublic/tourists/students don’t act in community interest (and many are not). I saw you give a beautiful speech at theCSC Gala, I know you understand more than most. Almost all my neighbors are saying the same thing, regardless oftheir health status. As tax payers and residents, why do our safety needs come second? My doctor was telling me that Bozeman Deaconess only has enough equipment for 12 intensive care patients (whatever their medical issues be). That is terrifying. Our community is potentially facing an imminent tsunami of death and suffering. Please use your influence toconvince Waded Cruzado to not bring in students in August. Please consider using your influence to make publicmask-wearing in Bozeman mandatory. (doesn’t wearing a mask actually grant you more freedom in a pandemic?!).Thank you for your service and for your consideration.Megan Zilz
