The Bozeman fireworks ordinance limits the use of fireworks in New Hyalite View to non-explosives and
things that do not go up more than 15 feet. We have 5 or 6 neighbors who terrorize the neighborhood with
large aerial displays and loud explosions. We have called the police, who are nice enough but shine us on.
Why do you have an ordinance that is not enforced? Our poor dogs are terrified, even with heavy doses of
tranquilizers. We are robbed of sleep for days, because the "celebration" goes on for about a week here.
Either repeal your ordinance, or enforce it. I cannot understand why you would keep it on the books if you
won't use it. I do understand the political difficulty of doing the right thing, but look: that is why you were
elected--to do the difficult things. Please do so.
