“I am writing today to request that the City of Bozeman consider fundingStreamline’s entire $300,000 funding request. I believe public transit is a criticalresource in our community because….
the Streamline bus system is my only way to work to MSU and I know a lot ofpeople and students who use the buses to get to school and work all the time.Honestly, how pathetic to not put this as a priority for working people. With all thegrowth and wealth here, you have working people who work at MSU, food service, retail stores who live "HERE" don't have time to voice their needs and do not havedollar signs in their eyes blinding them to the fact that working people are yourneighbors and your priority because they love it here. Wake up!
Public transit also plays an important role in helping our community make progresson its various community plans, including the City of Bozeman’s Strategic Plan,Triangle Community Plan, the Bozeman Community Plan draft, the City of BozemanMaster Transportation Plan, and more. As demonstrated by these plans, the CityCommission values public transportation in the Bozeman community. However, theCity’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year does NOT indicate that public transit isone of their priorities. Please support our community plans by funding Streamline ata higher level now and into the future.
