I checked the email I received to see if it referenced a City department, but I don't see one. This is what my contact indicated: School zones are typically 10 miles slower than the posted speed limit. That's why theydiffer around town. The city was going to do a traffic study this spring...but that was before we started remote learning. I was on Seattle PD School Safety Patrol, in grade school. :) Lieutenant. Before I was oldenough, I remember what I think was a child being hit by a car in front of the school. I was crossing with a babysitter and looked up the street from the crosswalk and saw them enter theroad in front of a car. My babysitter clamped my head to their side and covered my other ear, so I could not see, or hear well, but I remember hearing a sound like a head striking thepavement. It came to mind a while after we hung up. Even one is too many.
