I’m writing because I’m bothered by the city harming local businesses specially Sports Cove owned by Steve
Lantz. Steve has been in business for 30 years and in the past was able to use the pool without lifeguards present.
He was a lifeguard and swim instructor. He has clients waiting that he can’t serve and if this continues may be
forced to close his business. Lifeguards aren’t trained to deal with scuba related incidents and in 30 years he hasn’t
had one but would be the one qualified to help. He does so much for the city and county free of charge. It would be
nice if the city would work with someone who has given so much and help him to stay in business. I hope you see
fit to take action.
