First Name Peggy Last Name Byrde Email Address 1885peggy@gmail.com Phone Number 4066002126 Comments Downtown Bozeman used to be one of my favorite places. I'd start at the courthouse, walk all the way down, cross the street to what used to be Heeb's and walk all the way back.. What a lovely energy downtown Bozeman used to have. These days, oh. my. goodness. When I CAN find a parking place, I'll see my local optical place - who says the reason for all the changes is that "they" are DENSIFYING. I can only assume you are "they." I can only assume the reason you are doing this is to change Bozeman for the better, AND because more than half of Bozemanites actually WANT their Bozeman to change. Because I can usually NOT find a parking place, and because I have to walk for blocks and blocks (carrying my sewing machine in for repairs) my sewing machine will sit in the closet for I don't know how long. The downtown Bozeman feeling is SO GONE. I don't even like going anywhere near it anymore. I am a native Montanan, and after living in southern California for 30 years, let me clue you in... DENSIFYING never turns out pretty. No Bozemanite I've spoken to is happy about the changes you are making. Mystifies me as to the trajectory you have taken my once-charming downtown Bozeman. No reply necessary. What's done is done. At least I have north 19th for a while.
