A few issues I see that need improvement are: 1. Demilitarizing the BPD, I know many hires are from the military and have that training background. Perhaps, it's more important to focus on community policing.2. Having spoken with Chief Crawford, I understand that BPD officers don't have regular mental health counseling to process all the trauma that they witness and incur daily intheir duties. Mental Health counseling is only part of their wellness, a choice to utilize. Let's look at mandating monthly sessions for each officer. In 2011, I worked with thelegislator to ensure that CPS workers receive mental health counseling time as part of their job and wages.3. Let's not purchase anymore unnecessary military style equipment for BPD. 4. Mandate body camera use at all times.5. Racist and Sensitvity training. 6. Monthly updates and educational training from Racial Justice organizations. Thanks for all each of you do on behalf of Bozeman citizens. Dulaney Collins
