SUBJECT: Authorize the City Manager to sign a Professional Services Agreement with Greater Gallatin Contractors for Tree Watering for New Boulevard Trees in E. Tamarack St. MEETING DATE: June 15, 2020 AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to Sign Professional Services Agreement with Greater Gallatin Contractors, Inc. for tree watering.
BACKGROUND: The Northeast Urban Renewal District recently completed the E. Tamarack St. reconstruction project. The project did not include the installation of boulevard trees. The Economic Development Department is working with the Forestry Division to plant appropriate trees in the new boulevard sections in order to complete this project. Due to utility conflicts and planned adjacent development, only seven trees can be planted at this time. The proposed Professional Services Agreement provides for weekly filling of water bags for the newly planted trees over two seasons, summers 2021 and 2022, which should provide for more robust establishment of the new trees.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The total cost of this professional services agreement is $994.00 for 2020 and $1,207.00 for 2021. The costs will be paid for by the Northeast Urban Renewal District’s Tax Increment Financing District. ATTACHMENTS:
