This has been sitting unlivable (it was sold this way) for over 5 years. I own the property to the North. I provide
affordable housing, I’ve spent thousands and thousands of dollars to continue that. I spend a fortune in property
taxes.
My tenants want to be proud of their housing and I want to be proud of my investment in Bozeman.
I remember less than 15 years ago the days when enforcement by City of Bozeman required ( threatened and
would) houses like this to be torn down as they were unsafe, blight, and housed rodents.
Can we at least as neighbors go back to those days? Wouldn’t we all be better served w a vacant lot than a
inhabitable house?
After all these years, there
Must be a rationale? The city can offer to demo at their cost and put a lien on the property. This is one of the
wonderful powers a City has to waiver.
Why wait?
