As our Nation works through the grief, anger, disillusionment and frustration for the horrific murder of George Floyd we look to our local leadership for support and solidarity.
I have not been aware of any statement that the Gallatin Sheriff Department or Bozeman
Police Department have issued in regards to the use of brutal force and the continuation of conflict between police and people of color.
I believe that our community would be better served if we heard directly from our local law
enforcement officers on how they condemn what happened and how our local departments are trained and what we do to eliminate that from happening here.
Better yet - join others in taking off helmets and walking with the community - see article

I will still work for a new L&J Center and I want to believe that our local officers are different but when there is silence it looks like support - it is much better to speak
I also believe that speaking about this and doing the right things - cameras, trainings etc... will
help voters support a L&J center and our officers in the future
