Good Morning,
I would like to express my support for the Warming Center and their mission to provide a safe and warm
place for those experiencing homelessness for any reason to our population here in the Gallatin Valley. I
work in a clinic that serves many of the same clients and I can attest that many of these patients would
suffer not only a lack of shelter without the hard work of HRDC and the shelters staff/volunteers, but I feel
many of these people would face death on the streets of our towns in winters grip.
More than just mere shelter, the warming center is also an important access point for many of these
people to reach medical aid and other resources.The warming center has become a cornerstone to those in
our communities in the midst of crisis. I fear what would occur here without the warming center or their
role restricted in any form.
