My name is Brad Amundson. My wife Deb and I live at 963 Valley Ridge Road in Alder Creek, a single familyresidential community just south and adjacent to the proposed 117 acre Blackwoods Grove Development.
My wife and I have watched with increasing dismay the proposed development just South of the University. Webought in this area because it was well away from the commercial development of Main Street, Huffine Lane andNorth 19th. It seems as if "commercial creep" is becoming more and more common (and acceptable) in Bozeman...this just has to stop.
It's simply unfair to allow a constant alteration to zoning in order to accommodate commercial development where itis genuinely unwanted and inadvisable. The South 19th corridor is already congested - this will create even more.And given the added traffic, it really does threaten the safety of kids who walk and ride bike to the variousneighboring schools. It also is an assault on property values.
This is not acceptable.
