We met briefly after a climate talk at the Bozeman Public Library and I'm finally following up on your invitation to be in touch! At the top of my concerns is spring mowing. Are you familiar with 'Don't Mow (Yet)' efforts? Anything moving on this in Bozeman? Here is a program up and running in Ireland: https://dontmowletitgrow.com/ I've not easily found anything in the States. Postponing the first mow (at least) benefits insects and more. I'd love to see/hear a PSA on this to raise awareness and possibly save some lives this spring. Also, there's a street light just out the front door. I'm on a relatively quiet residential street. I understand that these are for safety, yes? The light pollution is very intense. Has Bozeman considered transitioning to motion-sensitive lighting? Do you know if that's reasonable? I'm interested to engage with both of these topics and more locally as soon as possible on my end. I'm catching up after being down with an injury. If you chance to enjoy poetry and song, I offered both for Earth Day and Poetry Month. The post includes a note on spring activity: https://www.meganhollingsworth.com/wail-dance-poetry/2020/4/earth-day-haiku-and-the-rose Thanks for all you do!
