I specifically asked if adding metal screening to an EIFS surface is a public safety issue. His responses. "Cannot imagine what the safety hazard could be. They would need to sleeve through the EIFS back to the sheathing and framing. This is often done.. Should not be a warranty issue as most EIFS companies have standard details to connect things like signage or screening to the EIFS. When I asked if 11 inches of EIFS was normal. He said " 2-4 inches is a normal application. 11 inches is a fire hazard and most codes do not allow that much EIFS".
