I sent a message to Chris Mehl (see below) then realized that I should send to you, too. On that note, I am very concerned about the behavior of dog owners who are letting their dogs run free as we aretrying to social distance AND get exercise outside. I have friends who work in the medical field (will likely befrontline soon) who agree not coming into contact with unknown dogs at this time is prudent. Can there please be a temporary leash-on law on Peet’s Hill until we know more about this virus? And somereminders of leash laws elsewhere including Centennial Park which is supposed to be off leash from 5-9am ONLY. My last two run/walks on Peet’s Hill and Story Hill were literally anxiety producing because of dogs who got in mypersonal space and lackadaisical owners. In some cases when the dog does not obey voice commands the owneractually comes within 3 feet of my personal space to grab their dog. Centennial is across from our house and I am reminding people it is not an off leash park after 9am. I reminded awoman walking with her dog off leash at Story Mill Bird Sanctuary.... it’s neverending and directly impacts MYability to enjoy the parks in my neighborhood. It sucks, to put it bluntly. Especially when we’re encouraged to stay closer to home in our outdoor pursuits, this would seem to be a measure the City should consider... or at least provide some firm verbiage on the topic and enforcement. Feel free to forward to Terry Cunningham. I wanted to cc him but don’t seem to have his email address. Oh and on a related topic, once the snow melts again it would be a great time for dog lovers to unite and pick up thedog feces landmines I’m seeing in Centennial Park and probably elsewhere. Thanks,Angie Sent from my iPhone
