I am a resident and owner of a unit at 5 W Mendenhall. Thank you very much. Bob Werner, 5 W # 306 TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, 1 April, 2020 I am a resident owner of unit 306 at 5 W Mendenhall. I am writing to say that the HVAC of the Armory/Etha Hotel is highly visible from the whole south side of our building. It’s way different than the proposed pool and terrace. I very much believe it may degrade our property values. Twenty-two units in our 5 W building face south, almost half of the residential units in the building. I don’t think it’s fair that the developer of the Armory proposed a nice terrace and instead put in unsightly utilities. In addition, when the HVAC gets turned on, it will generate year-round noise for half of the units in our building. I had a similar experience as a homeowner in another state with another development wherein the unforeseen noise of the HVAC was always a loud, low roar. It bothered me and my neighbors day and night. The developer tried to mitigate it, but three years later, the noise is there 24/7. I fear this will be true for 5 W too. Robert J.
