HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrder ED-06 - Closure of Bozeman City Hall, Stiff Professional Building and Other City Facilities to Public Entry aoz�� t 9 co CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA ORDER ED—06 FOR COVID-19 PANDEMIC Ordered this 23rd day of March,2020 Closure of Bozeman City Hall, Stiff Professional Building and Other City Facilities to Public Entry WHEREAS, on March 13, 2020, the President of the United States issued a Proclamation on Declaring a National Emergency Concerning the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Outbreak; and WHEREAS, on March 12, 2020, the Governor of the State of Montana issued Executive Order No. 2-2020 Declaring a State of Emergency to Exist Within the State of Montana Related to the Communicable Disease COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus; and WHEREAS, the Health Officer and Board of Health for the Gallatin City-County Health Department are implementing precautionary and protective measures for the citizens of the City of Bozeman; and WHEREAS, on March 16, 2020 the City Manager issued an Emergency Declaration establishing certain authority and powers which such Declaration is incorporated herein; and NOW,THEREFORE,as City Manager of the City of Bozeman,Montana,and as chief executive officer of the City, and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the City of Bozeman Charter and the laws of the State of Montana, I hereby issue this Order in fulfillment of the Emergency Declaration("Declaration") dated March 16, 2020. As such, I order the following: 1. The following City facilities are closed to public entry effective close of business on Monday,March 23, 2020: CITY OF BOZEMAN,MONTANA ORDER IMPLEMENTING MARCH 16,2020 DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY FOR COVID-19 NOVEL CORONAVIRUS Page 1 of 2 a. City Hall, 121 North Rouse Avenue; b. Alfred M Stiff Professional Building, 20 East Olive Street; and c. All other City facilities and buildings including but not limited to the Water Treatment Plan, Water Reclamation Facility, Story Mill Community Center, all City fire stations,the cemetery office. 2. Department Directors supervising functions in each of the City facilities affected by this Order must develop a plan to be approved by the City Manager that demonstrates how the department or division will take all reasonable steps to continue providing services to the public. Components of department plans addressing public services must be posted on the City's website. 3. If a director intends to cancel provision of services, the director must submit a written request to the City Manager detailing the reasons for cancelling services and a plan for reinstating services.The City Manager must approve the cancellation of services. Cancellation of services must be posted on the City's website and must include a statement listing the date services are estimated to be reinstated. 4. Directors must also address delivery of goods and materials to their locations. At this time,unless the delivery of goods or materials is necessary for the functioning of the department during the Declaration, departments must cancel or delay until further notice the delivery of all goods or services until further direction. 5. This Order will be in place until canceled or superseded by subsequent Order of the City Manager. 6. The contents of this Order must be posted on the City's website. 7. City departments must take all steps necessary to implement this Order. Dennis M.
