Rugheimer - Armory HotelFrom: Stacey Rugheimer To: Agenda Subject: csaunders@bozeman.net Date: Monday, March 16, 2020 2:33:36 PM Attention Chris Saunders I currently own a condominium unit in the 5 West Building. My unit directly faces south overlooking the Etha Hotel located at 24 West Mendenhall Street in Bozeman. I am writing to you, filing a personal grievance about CONDITIONAL APPROVAL OF ARMORY HOTEL MODIFICATION TO APPROVED PLAN, APPLICATION NO. 19410 dated March 4th, 2020. There will be multiple impacts from the mechanical infrastructure proposed by the Etha Hotel that directly affects my unit. Currently the proposed mechanics will be located on the second floor of the Etha Hotel. I am concerned about how the air handlers will impact my view, as well as the odors and noise coming from the air handlers installed. Since I am located on the fifth floor, I will not only see the mechanics, I will directly ingest various fumes and odors as well as noises emitted from the mechanical air handlers on this property. I have four windows that face the Etha Hotel. These are the only four windows in 1,008 square feet of my condominium. I have no option to avoid hearing, smelling or ingesting air handler emissions. I shall also remind you that as Bozeman grows, this is a combined residential and business area. More people are living in smaller spaces closer together and I would like know how the city will implement the use of air handlers running 24 hours a day. Other suggestions I propose are that the outdoor air inlets shall be covered with screens of specified mesh and size. These shall remain clean and in good condition especially if in view of 5 West. I am also concerned about to which the extent codes are implemented and enforced, as well as the interests of the builders and contractors of the Etha Building while the Etha Hotel is being built as well as how this area will be maintained in the future. Thank You, Stacey Rugheimer 5 West Mendenhall #511 Bozeman, MT 59715 406-599-6744
