Director of Community Development;
I have no problem with I-Ho wanting to open a restaurant. The location is another matter.
As a former Executive Director of the Gallatin History Museum (2014-16) I am well aware of the neighboring
property belonging to I-Ho and her husband. Not only is it his law office I believe it is also their family home, or
was.
My concern is for parking. I assume from the newspaper article that the restaurant is to be built in the back on part
of the lot where a storage building/former home sat which has been torn down. It may be attached to the present
home for more space, but I don’t know that. Where are customers/staff going to park? Available parking is the
courthouse lot to the north of the courthouse,(which is usually full) street parking which is limited and used
extensively by county office patrons and other business parking areas. Included in this other business parking is the
spots immediately behind the museum which is used by staff and volunteers.
I feel questions need to be asked about the parking.
Thank you,
Bill Jones
