Courthouse, 311 West Mall1 Street, on Monday, October 9,2006, at 6:00 p.m. Present

City Engmeer Rick Hixson gave an update of the Durston Road ProJect. The street
opening date is November 2nd, weather permItting.

Mayor Krauss called for public comment. This was the time for individuals to comment
on matters falling within the purview of the Bozeman City Commission. There will also
be an opportunity in conjunction with each agenda item for comments pcrtaining to that
itcm.

Deb Stober of 395 North Valley Drive from the Northwest Neighborhood Network Board
discussed problems with the closure of Anne and Durston and the issues for citizcns and
Emily Dickenson school access.

Marcia Youngman of 1214 W cst Kotch updated the commission on thc status of the
Affordable Housing Task Force. She also asked for clarification and a time limit
extension.

Robbye Hamburgh, the Principal of Emily Diekenson School, asked for changes to the
25th and Durston crossing for the safety of school students.

Jeff Ball of 323 South Wallace spoke in favor of retrofitting thc corner of 25th and
Durston. He also spoke about a policc request for a social security numbcr. He finally
asked for a review of the intent of the Big Box money.

Cathy Callahan of702 Bridger Drive spoke in favor of using Big Box moncy to research
Mobile Home Ownership.

Brian Close 516 East Curtis requested the creation of a process for rcviewing proposals
for the Big Box money exists and thought all the Big Box money could be used toward
Atlordable Housing.

Director of Parks and Recreation Ron Dingman prescnted the staff report relating to
McLeod Park.

Kirchhoff, to accept McLeod Park as a City Park.

Mike Hope of 2215 Arrowleaf Drivc and others presented information about the
proposed Ice Rink and requested a grant from thc city of $300,000.

John Vincent former Mayor of thc City of Bozeman and County Commissioner spoke in
favor of granting the moncy to the Ice Rink proposal.

Christopher Grey the presidcnt of the Gallatin Ice Foundation spoke of how this Ice Rink
project has brought people together.

Russ Tucker of 43 Gardner Park asked the commission to put money toward this asset.

Rob Pertzborn of 518 North Tracy spoke of the history of the Haynes Pavilion and his
support for the Ice Rink.

Jacobson, to grant $300,000 of the Big Box Economic Development Money for the lee

Commissioncr Becker meet with the neighborhood about the Kenyon Road extension.
He recommended extending the deadline for the Aflordab1c Housing Task Force. Then
he asked for updates on the traffic mitigation options and the UDO amendments.

Commissioner Rupp mentioned he will be absent next week while he attends thc Modular
Mobile Home Trade show. He asked staff to look into a car abandoned on Lincoln.

Mayor Krauss talked about the New West Confcrence, and asked the City Manager to
advertise the Holiday Gas Station discount.

The City Manager talked about the upeoming Commissioner Team Building Exercise.
Chris also talkcd about the constmction delays on 19th and Durston.
