Site Visitor Name: Gregg Harris Site Visitor Email: greggwharris1@gmail.com Hi Michael, I know that you talked with a LOT of folks during your campaign, as you did with us, and you may not remember me but I live at 203 S. Church with my spouse, Renee. Our discussion with you was refreshing to say the least and I'm now taking you up on your offer to continue communicating if you were elected. We're concerned about the proposed Downtown parking district that may encompass our neighborhood. What's particularly troubling is the idea that we might be obligated to foot part of the bill through the purchase of parking permits. Two years ago Olive St. underwent significant work that was necessary due to the 1500+ vehicles that already travel daily on the stretch along the north side of our property. Long story short, as adjacent property owners we were hit with an SID tab of approximately $15,000 that's now part of our property tax bill and will be for several more years. FYI, we drive that same street 4-5 times daily at most. Now, as we understand it, under the proposed parking district we may be required to pay for parking permits for guests on that very same road. A road that we and our neighbors have already and will continue to substantially pay for. Does that seem equitable? Thanks for listening, Gregg Harris (406)539-4721
