It's great to hear from you!
As with all voting decisions, I wait to make my final decision until after public comment and all otherinformation provided right up until the specific vote that night.
Rest assured, Climate Change is a top priority of mine and the City of Bozeman. It's my job to representthe views of engaged citizens (thank you), and I look forward to discussing Climate Change as a keypriority for our future strategic plan.

Dear Michael,
Your resolution on December 16, 2019, setting strong greenhouse gas reduction goals, wasimportant in realizing what a city government can do to reduce the momentum of climate
change. I believe that this must be a top priority for the City of Bozeman, and I hope that yourinfluence in making it a priority for quick and substantial action will set an example for
Gallatin County and for other cities throughout the state.
This is a pivotal time as the scientific community is speaking out with more and more urgencyabout how our emissions continue to increase, while the impacts have exceeded their
expectations. Already fire, drought, floods and dislocation in so many locations throughout theworld have created havoc and displacement.
I understand that city governments face difficult decisions in allocation of resources -my
father was a city manager while I was growing up- and have great sympathy for the challengefaced by cities in providing essential services. But I do believe that individuals and
governments need to make reduction of emissions a top priority. I appreciate yourconsideration.
