PLANNING AND PREPARATION
December 19
Consultants work with staff to coordinate kickoff activities and identify any
stakeholders to engage with.
RECRUITMENT MATERIALS
January 13-14
Stakeholder feedback obtained and synthesized into a recruitment brochure –
draft text submitted for review at end of week.
January 20
Client submits final revisions to recruitment brochure text and consultants
prepare recruitment and advertising materials.
ACTIVE RECRUITMENT
January 24
Recruitment goes live and consultants begin outreach. Candidates apply
through the CPS HR website and consultants review applications while
providing regular updates to the client.
SELECTION PROCESS
February 24
Screening Interviews: Consultants conduct comprehensive screening interviews
with the most competitive candidates matching the ideal profile as described in
the job announcement. Initial media checks are also conducted.
March 9
Client Report Meeting: Client reviews consultants' recommendations regarding
top candidates to determine the short-list candidates to be interviewed.
Interview format and activities are also planned.
March 23
Agency Interviews: Candidates are interviewed and if necessary, finalists are
identified for further consideration. Consultants prepare all materials, coordinate
candidate logistics, and assist with facilitation of the interviews.
March 27
Background Checks: Consultants conduct reference/background checks on the
ultimate finalist.
March 30
Negotiation of Offer: As desired, consultants serve as an intermediary to
negotiate a salary offer and terms of employment between the candidate and
client.
