We love your town and visit for skiing, fishing, and lovely summers. Almost every day there is an article in the SA paper about scooter problems. I just grabbed this one and stuffed it into my suitcase on the way here. Quick summary, but please read the article to get the flavor. Scooters introduced about 18 months ago in San Antonio. Home of Alamo and Riverwalk among other attractions. It did not take long for them to be a recognized nuisance. While some tourists want to ride them, almost all tourists have the experiences of dodging scooter riders on the sidewalks and negotiating around piles of scooters stacked up on pedestrian walkways. They are supposed to ride in the streets which causes safety problems for scooters, cars, and crosswalk traffic. A lot of police time is invested trying to balance public safety and tourism interests. I would encourage City Council to contact San Antonio City Manager and try to gain some ideas to manage the scooters before they become a plague in this great city. Sincerely, Jim Clymer Sent from Mail for Windows 10
