I would like to see the city work harder to increase recycling program. It says that the city is working to
incentivize recycling, but I haven't heard anything about it. We need to branch out and accept more
recyclable materials, like glass, milk carton, non-bottle shaped #1 & #2 plastics, #3-#7 plastics as well. And
more drop-off recycling sites are much needed.
It would be amazing if we had a way to reduce clothing waste as well, as this is one of the least recycled
materials and one of the biggest waste-creating industries. While donating to thrift stores is a big way to
reduce this waste, not all items are accepted (or acceptable) to donate.
Partnering with neighboring communities would help to offset some of this cost. Please try to think of more
ways to get Bozeman more sustainable quickly. I worry about the environment and keeping Bozeman a
beautiful place.
