I would like to know what the city is doing to improve the infrastructure in town. Traffic has been a
nightmare for some time now. I have seen the I90 exit ramp from Belgrade to Bozeman backed up onto the
interstate numerous times. I have also seen 19th going out towards Target entirely backed up, so much that
it takes 30 minutes to get from 19th and college to 19th and Baxter. I believe another lane of interstate
eastbound from Belgrade to Bozeman could help.
Furthermore, there need to be more and better bike lanes all throughout town, and possibly more
streamline bus routes. This would not only cut down on traffic, but add to a cleaner environment.
Affordable housing also ties into this issue - because Bozeman has become so expensive to live in, most
people have to commute from Belgrade, or further, or Livingston. In harsh winter conditions this is very
dangerous and I know the number of accidents has only increased as our population has grown.
