As a business owner and home owner, I am opposed to a parks district mill levy being put on the
ballet in May of 2020. The responsibility of HOA parks should not be shifted to all other taxpayers as
that responsibility should remain with the owners in each respective HOA. Also, there are other
priorities, such as workforce housing, quality daycare, transportation system, streets, etc. that need
addressed before adding more taxes for parks. Trails, parks, art etc. might be nice, but the taxpayers
cannot afford these when there are more pressing direct needs.
