Dear Mayor Andrus and Colleagues, I realize it's not often enough that you hear praise for the services
delivered by the city, but I am writing to express my gratitude and appreciation for the city arbor crew
looking after our trees. I've had the pleasure of interaction recently with Amy Hansen, Jennifer Jollitt, Vince
Galli and Wynn Krause, who just conducted some tree shaping/caretaking along the street I live. I can't
speak more highly of them; they possess skill, passion, sensitivity and art. Please give them a raise! In
addition, I want to express gratitude to Mitch Overton and his parks/recreation/forestry staff for doing an
extraordinary job with our public parks when I know resources are limited. I am looking forward to another
season of outdoor ice and stand ready to assist If I can. Thanks for your hard work on behalf of the city and
