RE: Memorandum Of Understanding
The Lewis and Clark County Attorney's Office(HIDTA Grant Recipient)will provide a 2019
Chrysler Pacifica VIN#2C4RC1FG2ICR655388, and a 2019 Dodge Ram,VIN
#1 C68RFFI'3KN816541 to City of Bozeman Police Department(BPD)for HIDTA operations. For
use by the BPD from August 8,2019 until such time as it is no longer needed and returned to the
Lewis and Clark County Attorney's Office (HIDTA.) or funding for the vehicle is no longer made
available through the HIDTA Grant.
While the vehicle is in the care,custody,and control of the BPD,BPD shall purchase and maintain
auto liability insurance(occurrence coverage)with limits of$750,000 per claim and$1,500,000 per
occurrence in accordance with§2-9-108 MCA to cover such claims as may be caused by an act,
omission, or negligence of the BPD or officers,agents,representatives,assignecs,or subcontractors.
Gallatin county and Montana State University deputies,officers, officials,employees,and
volunteers are-to be covered as additional insured(s).
BPD shall maintain comprehensive and collision insurance coverage on the vehicle for replacement
cost of the vehicle at the time of loss.
The maintenance and operation costs of the vehicle will be the responsibility of BPD. BPD will
provide fuel for the vehicle.
